Downtown Niagara
Festival Of The Arts
On May 30th, 31st,
and June 1st,
Niagara Falls got together for a common purpose....

It was to celebrate
a new found enthusiasm to revive the downtown area
(QUEEN STREET)
It was also to bring awareness to the
ART DISTRICT
of the city,
and to showcase all the galleries.
It was great to see the new face lift that downtown is getting.
A group called "CELEBRATE OLD DOWNTOWN" proudly sponsored a fantastic street party,
closing off QUEEN ST.,
to make room for the many food stands, wine and beer concessions, rides, art displays and
attractions to accommodate every age group
There was non-stop live entertainment, featuring some great local talent, with the headliners
being "APRIL WINE", and the "CAVENDERS" (a Beatle tribute group).
The street party rocked on for three days.
I found out about the bash when I heard great music outside one night, filling the late spring
air.
I headed downtown the next day and shot this video, it was  really uplifting to see NIAGARA,
chillin' and havin' a good time together.

The kids painted their faces up and took mini-horse cart rides, with a cute little  miniature
horse, as you can see in the video clip.
There were all kinds of wines, including wine from the "WAYNE GRETZKY WINERY" which
is a local NIAGARA estate.
Molsen's even had a beer tasting attraction....too bad I missed that one!
"SHOELESS JOE'S", "KOOL KATS", and "EDWIN'S" restaurants also had lot's of great
food on hand for a "KOOL" price.
"SPRINGLICIOUS" as this celebration was named, will soon be followed with another bash in August, with a
"DAREVIL DAYS" theme, and then another street party in September called, "THE DAYS OF ELVIS", that
'oughta' rock man! I'll be there in my blue suede shoes!
"CONGRATS" to "NIAGARA, and "CELEBRATE" OLD DOWNTOWN" for a great start to reviving our
downtown area, and I really think we're gonna' do it! It's gonna' take effort by the people of NIAGARA
FALLS to get out there and spread the word around. Get downtown and support the good cause, and while you're
there, drop in and say "HI" to our good, longtime friend "TINA", and her partner" MIKE "     who are the
proud hosts of "THE ORCHID" a great place for food, fun, "BEER" tunes, and real "NIAGARA FALLS STYLE
HOSPITALITY" So let's get it together "NIAGARA" let's get our downtown "REVIVED" again, rebuild it
better than ever! See you in August downtown at "DARE DEVIL DAYS" or maybe, one of these nights at "THE
ORCHID"

or "101.1 FM "THE RIVER" for good music! "Hits keep flowin" like the "NIAGARA RIVER".
