Westminster chimes greet
you every fifteen minutes,
as you stroll on manicured
lawns under the warm
summer sun...and you know
you've arrived at the
majestic, world famous
Floral Clock.

It's located just a short
scenic drive down the
Niagara River Parkway,
from the
Whirpool Aero Car.

The clock itself is made of 16 thousand selected carpet bedding plants. The staff of
the Niagara School of Horticulture, maintain, and plant twice a year. In the spring you
will see Viola, then in June they replant using
Altermanthera, green and grey Santolina
Sage, California Golden Privet, and Blue Festuca Grass.

The hands of the clock are made of stainless steel tubing, and, along with the motors
and gears and other intricate electrical components,
are under the diligent care of the Ontario Hydro.
The hour hand is 14.5 ft, the minute hand is 17.5 ft. and the second hand is 21ft.
The Floral Clock is 40 ft.across, so thus,
using "pi r squared"
(S = pi R2)...

....you can easily figure out the AREA...!!!

If not, you shouldn't be be on vacation in Niagara Falls...
You should be at summer school, taking a geometry course!!....
Only Kidding...
HA HA!!

I told you in the beginning, my tours are for a good time, not a long time!

While you're at the Floral Clock,
make sure you take a walk around the back....
And if your lucky, the door will be open....
and you can go inside the clock itself to see what makes it tick!

On the walls you'll see photographs of previous designs of the clock
for every year since it's opening in 1950.
Everybody wants to see what it looked like the year they were born.

If you were born before 1950, well, you can conjure up you're own design.
LOL!

If you can't make it here for some reason, not to worry.....
That's what NiagaraFallsVlogger.com is all about....

We'll take you there....
so, just ENJOY!
