| In other words I've got nothin' to hide! I've been trying to put out a hit song, all my life, I have certain SOCIAL ISSUE BONES to pick, But I never, ever get political in my original lyrics. I KEEP OUT of politics! I stick to what I do best, and that's, ENTERTAINING!! In the video on the CHIPPAWA RIVER, You see me, a real guy, playing a simple song.... By that I mean, I'm real, and I'm simple..... But I'm not "REAL SIMPLE"... Haha.....Get it? Ya' know what I'm sayin'?? Anyways, As a songwriter, I try not to immerse myself in anyone else's music anymore..... (so nothing can sink into my subconscious accidentally).... I used to.... That's how I developed my own style..... I want to be as original as possible. When I use to do covers of the hits, or my favourite artists, I use to kick myself sayin', "Damn, now why didn't I think of that?" It was too hard on me! It rattled my confidence. Sometimes, in the music business, you can be your own worst enemy! There's so much great talent out there.... But you gotta' FORGET ABOUT IT... AND JUST FOCUS ON BEING TRUE TO YOURSELF! Go with your gut feelings! Follow your heart and your natural instincts. So, While on stage..... I started mixing some original tunes in with the regular cover songs.... And guess what?? Nobody noticed!! They kept on rockin' on the dance floor, or slow dancin' or whatever! Yeah.... What's so good about that your thinkin'?? Well, it meant MY original stuff was blending with all the hits we were playin' off the radio! My songs didn't stand out... They blended right in.... And more importantly, They didn't stand out as being BAD!!. After awhile...... ....a few years later....... People would come up to me and say, "Hey, I liked that original you threw in, man!" Since then, I've never looked back..... And I'll never give up or quit writing songs.... It's just what I do! That's all.... End of story! So...... Now..... Along with recording my Originals in the Studio... I've discovered Vlogging, While trying to promote my songs!!! I hope you enjoy my Hometown.... And my Homegrown Songs!!! |
| Soooo........... I guess I'm the spokesman ( for today, anyways ). I do the videos and the nonsensical text and narratives. As you can probably deduce, I work without a script. It's meant to be this way.... Informal and improvised. You'll notice, at times, I speak without thinking...... And, on the occasion, I tend to...um..blurt out....foolishness! But, I am trying to show you what a great time you can have here in Niagara Falls!! It's all about FUN!!! It's been years since I've seen some of the attractions and tourist "HOTSPOTS"! Some I have never visited, So basically, I'm experiencing everything right along with you. It's a journey of discovery, and we're embarking on it together! SO, WELCOME ABOARD!! I apologize for getting overly excited and even carried away at times, But just picture me as a friend on vacation with you..... Doin' some real cool stuff together..!! You might even want to ignore me.... LOL... That's Cool! Just turn down the volume! Don't worry 'bout it!! I must give credit to my very intelligent, artistic, mature, and responsible partner.
